Setting the Default Location
An item can have a default stock location, set in the edit screen:
Once this is set for an item, the booking in and out of stock can be speed up.
Booking in from a Purchase Order
When booking in stock using a supplier delivery note, the 'Deliver To' drop down can be left empty or Default selected:
When the items are added to stock they will be added to their default location even if another location is specified at the top of the delivery note:
In this example, the item has 'London Aisle A' set as its default. This will override the 'Default' set at the top.
Allocating on a Job/Order
Click on the Apply button and select 'Allocate All':
This will allocate the correct quantity to each item automatically if:
- There is a default stock location
- There is enough stock
- It is set up as a reference stock (i.e. with a serial number)
If an item has no default stock location you will need to manually allocate stock to it.
Picking on a Delivery Note
Use the Apply button and select 'Pick All' to automatically pick stock if it has:
- There is a default stock location
- There is enough stock
- It is set up as a reference stock (i.e. with a serial number)
If an item has no default stock location you will need to manually pick stock for it.
